Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol treatment center which works to treat substance abuse problems and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the treatment client in treatment participates in a variety of rehabilitation services and methods in the day and then leaves in the evening time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem.
