Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug rehabilitation program which works to deal with drug addiction problems and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the treatment client in rehab takes part in various treatment services and approaches in the day and then leaves in the evening time. This is done several days per week, depending on the severity of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug addicted people in Santa Ana who may not be able to afford long-term inpatient treatment, or for treatment clients who are not able to be away from their home and work for prolonged periods of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in typical counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction problems while simultaneously overcoming mental health disorders which could keep them from staying abstinent once treatment is done.
